Service Description

Tour starts at the Port of Astoria, where you board a Streetcar that replicates the Old Time Streetcar from the 1920's. You will be surrounded by Windows, so as not to obscure your view of the Oldest American Settlement West of the Rockies, est. in 1811. Astoria is where History Touches everything that you will see. Your Experienced Local Guide will take you through how life used to be in this tiny town of 10,000, and how preservation of this historic place is alive and well in the 21st century. As you wind around the town, seeing sites that are as impressive today as they were over 200 years ago. You will see where John Jacob Astor started his fur trade business at Ft Astoria, Captain Flavel's Mansion built in 1885, only one of over 300 homes on the National Historical Registry, will stand out as crown jewels of each and every neighborhood. Making it to the Astoria Column for a brief visit and climb the 164 steps to the top where an astounding view of the Columbia River Awaits. If you are a Movie Buff, seeing the Goonie House is within reach, and the Kindergarten Cop School is ready to show off its unique charm also. Visit the East End Mooring Basin and view many of the Sea Lions that have moved in to said marina. From Top to Bottom you will love what this tour has to offer, and your local guide will share our vast history as you go.
